## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Practice area | [Competition & Consumer Law (ACCC / ACL)](https://ailawframework.com/practice/competition-and-consumer-law.md) |
| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | List each capability claim and the document the lawyer supplies that is said to support it. Do not rewrite the copy. |
| What the lawyer must review | A claim about what a product’s model can do is still advertising. FTC Act § 5 covers unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce. Lanham Act § 1125(a)(1) covers a false or misleading representation of fact in commercial advertising about the nature, characteristics or qualities of goods or services. You decide whether the claim is true and whether the evidence supports it. Opinion 512 is about your use of a generative tool in the review, not about the client’s product. Do not put the campaign into a public tool (Model Rule 1.6). |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: List each capability claim and the document the lawyer supplies that is said to support it. Do not rewrite the copy.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- This version does not rely on an FTC business blog. The statute is the source.
- Do not invent a performance figure to fill a gap in the evidence file.
