## Checking plan

**Lawyer-led directions**

The lawyer writes the proposed orders. The tool lists what the practice note expects at the first listing.

- What the AI does: From the practice note the lawyer names, list the orders usually made at the first listing and the time by which proposed orders must be sent. The tool does not write the orders that are filed.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer writes the proposed orders and signs any that are agreed. Send them in the form, and by the time, the practice note requires. The practitioner who attends must know the issues and the timetable. Check the list. Some proceedings are outside the note.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.
- Restriction: The lawyer writes anything filed with the court or signed by the client. The tool may organise, extract, compare, index or comment.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Read the current orders before proposing new ones.
2. If the note does not hold a first directions hearing, do not invent one.
3. Email proposed orders in the format the note requires, and copy every party.
4. State whether alternative dispute resolution is sought, where the note asks for that.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
