## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Only an individual who is at least 18 may be appointed. A person disqualified under Part 2D.6 needs the permission or leave the section names.

- What the AI does: From the appointment papers, list whether the person is an individual and the date of birth the file shows. List any note on the file that the person is disqualified from managing corporations. Do not appoint the person.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the person may be appointed, including whether a disqualification under Part 2D.6 is in the way and whether any permission or leave is on the file.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Only an individual who is at least 18 may be appointed as a director of a company.
2. A person who is disqualified from managing corporations under Part 2D.6 may only be appointed if the appointment is made with permission granted by ASIC under section 206GAB, or leave granted by the Court under section 206G.
3. Part 2D.6, section 206GAB and section 206G were not opened. The note names them. It does not describe the grounds or the application.
4. The lawyer decides whether the person can be appointed. The note does not make the appointment.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
