## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: Line the filed care plan or case plan up against the statutory requirements the lawyer has set out and against the chronology and service records, and assemble a table showing, requirement by requirement, what the plan asserts, where it appears and what the record supports.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer forms the view on restoration, on the adequacy of what was offered and on the placement, and checks each asserted service against the record before any objection is put.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm the plan in the table is the current filed version, and identify every earlier version and what changed between them.
2. Check each service the plan says was offered against the service record: whether it was offered, when, whether it was actually available and whether the parent could reach it.
3. Test the restoration assessment against its own stated reasons and against the record, and identify the parts of the record the assessment does not address.
4. Check the plan's contact schedule, placement and cultural support provisions against what is actually happening, not against what the plan proposes.
5. Confirm which requirements the court must be positively satisfied about in this jurisdiction, and record the objection for each one that is not met.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
