## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Check each reference against subsections 712(1) and (2), and record the free-copy duty.

- What the AI does: For each reference in the prospectus to a document lodged with ASIC, list whether the reference identifies the document or part, tells people they can obtain a copy, and includes the extra description subsection 712(2) requires. Do not write prospectus sentences.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the short-form reference can be used, confirms the copy will be given free during the application period, and writes the prospectus.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. The reference identifies the document or the part, and tells people of the right to a copy under subsection (5).
2. Specialist information gets a description plus a statement that it is primarily of interest to professional analysts, advisers, or investors with similar needs. Any other reference needs enough about the contents for the offeree to decide whether to ask for a copy.
3. The document or part is taken to be included. A copy is given free during the application period. The definition of that period was not opened.
4. The section does not apply to a two-part simple corporate bonds prospectus. The lawyer writes any prospectus sentence. A transaction-specific prospectus is a separate task.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- The application-period definition was not opened.
