| How AI is used | List the debtor name, secured-party name, collateral indication and filing office from the executed security and the organic record or licence the lawyer supplies. Write no financing statement. |
| What the lawyer must review | You write the filing. U.C.C. § 9-502(a) makes a financing statement sufficient only if it provides the debtor’s name, the secured party’s name or a representative, and an indication of the collateral. Section 9-503 says whose name is sufficient, including the public organic record for a registered organisation and, for an individual, the alternative the state enacted (driver’s licence or individual name). A financing statement that provides only the debtor’s trade name does not sufficiently provide the name of the debtor (§ 9-503(c)). A statement that already provides the subsection (a) name is not ineffective merely because it omits a trade name (§ 9-503(b)). Open the state’s enactment before the filing is lodged. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: List the debtor name, secured-party name, collateral indication and filing office from the executed security and the organic record or licence the lawyer supplies. Write no financing statement.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- The filing is the lawyer’s. The tool’s list does not get filed.
- States enact different alternatives of § 9-503 for individual debtors. Do not assume the driver’s-licence rule.
