## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Trace relied-on content to independent sources and check for relevant material the output has missed.

- What the AI does: From the seizure date, any disposal, and any request, list the section 132 deadline and the figures the statement must show. The tool does not write the statement.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides who must receive a statement and writes it. Section 144, section 128, section 129 and section 293 were not opened.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. A statement after disposal is given on request, within 20 business days, unless a further reasonable period applies. Do not start the 20 days before the request.
2. A statement where there has been no disposal is also on request, for each 6 month period after seizure, and it must say the collateral has not been disposed of.
3. The tool lists the required figures. It does not write the statement. This is not the notice given before disposal.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
