## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Trace relied-on content to independent sources and check for relevant material the output has missed.

- What the AI does: From the security, the asset list and the employee ledger, list the property subject to a circulating security interest and the classes of debt section 561 names. The tool does not decide priority.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides which debts fall within the paragraphs section 561 picks up, whether the unsecured property is insufficient, and how the circulating property is applied.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Section 561 applies where property available for unsecured creditors is insufficient to meet the debts it names.
2. Those debts are the ones in section 556(1)(e), (g) and (h), amounts under section 558(3) or (4) that would have been such debts, and amounts given priority by section 560. Section 556 was not opened. The lawyer reads those paragraphs before naming a wage, leave or superannuation claim.
3. Payment is in priority to the secured party and may be made out of property subject to the circulating security interest.
4. Do not treat a non-circulating security interest as if this section applied to it.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
