| How AI is used | Compare the documents produced with each request. List requests that are unanswered, and record whether the request is for documents the responding party has and intends to rely on, or for other documents in that party's possession or custody that are not otherwise readily available and are said to be relevant and material. Do not decide an objection. |
| What the lawyer must review | You decide any objection and any application to the court. Rule R-23 lets the arbitrator require an exchange of documents in a party's possession or custody on which that party intends to rely, updates of that exchange, and a response to reasonable requests for documents in the responding party's possession or custody that are not otherwise readily available, and that are reasonably believed to exist and to be relevant and material to disputed issues. Electronic documents are produced in the form most convenient and economical for the party who has them, unless the arbitrator finds good cause for another form. Rule R-24 lets the arbitrator make orders to enforce Rules R-22 and R-23, including confidentiality conditions, search parameters, cost allocation, and, for willful non-compliance, adverse inferences, exclusion, special cost allocations, or an interim award of costs. A different step is 9 U.S.C. § 7. The arbitrators, or a majority, may summon a person in writing to attend and, in a proper case, to bring a book, record, document, or paper deemed material. If that person refuses or neglects to obey, a petition to the United States district court for the district in which the arbitrators, or a majority, are sitting may compel attendance or punish for contempt in the same manner as for a court witness. That petition is not a general order for document production, and it is not a decision on an objection. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: Compare the documents produced with each request. List requests that are unanswered, and record whether the request is for documents the responding party has and intends to rely on, or for other documents in that party's possession or custody that are not otherwise readily available and are said to be relevant and material. Do not decide an objection.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- The opened PDF dates the Commercial Arbitration Rules as amended and effective 1 September 2022, and the Commercial Mediation Procedures as amended and effective 1 June 2026. Confirm the text in force when the demand or the mediation request was filed.
- Section 7 is a summons to attend and bring material papers, and a court petition only if the person refuses or neglects to obey it.
- A federal judge's standing order does not apply inside the arbitration.
