## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Trace relied-on content to independent sources and check for relevant material the output has missed.

- What the AI does: From the notice of arbitration, the amount in dispute and the date the tribunal is constituted, list whether the rules the parties adopted allow an expedited application and which gateway is relied on. The tool does not write the application.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether to apply, which gateway is arguable, and writes the application.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Under the ACICA Rules, the application is to ACICA in writing, before the tribunal is constituted.
2. The gateways in Article 8 are an amount in dispute under $5,000,000 determined under Article 2.2 of Appendix A, agreement of the parties, or exceptional urgency. Appendix A was not set out in the article. The lawyer reads it before stating the amount.
3. ACICA considers the views of both parties. Articles 8.1 and 8.2 do not apply to a consolidation under Articles 16 or 18 unless the parties agree.
4. Do not assume another institution uses the same amount or the same timing.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
