## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: From the direction or notice the lawyer supplies, list each order, the animal it names, the date of the notice, and any review period printed on the notice. Do not draft a review application.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides what the direction requires, whether a review is open, and whether to apply. The lawyer writes any review application.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Copy only the orders on the notice. Do not add a keeping condition from a dangerous-dog declaration or an order from a biosecurity direction.
2. For a Queensland notice, record the 14-day review period from the enforcing-the-Act page and confirm it against the notice. Do not put a review period on a New South Wales direction unless the notice states one.
3. Do not draft the review application or a complaint. Providing false or misleading information in a New South Wales complaint is an offence.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
