| How AI is used | Record whether a written agreement exists before any trading, and whether both parties signed it or gave a written notice of offer and acceptance by letter, email or text. Record the term if the agreement is for a limited time, the process for varying or ending it, and whether a cooling-off period is stated. List delivery requirements, quantity requirements, product standards, how produce that misses those requirements will be dealt with, the only reasons rejection is allowed, and the period for giving reasons. If the trader will pool produce, list the quality requirements and the specifications. Do not decide that trading may start. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides whether the agreement is in place and code-compliant before trading, whether acceptance is signed or is a written notice, and whether the cooling-off period meets the page. If the agreement is for 90 days or more, or has no end date, either party may end it in writing within 14 days, or within a period the parties agree that is not shorter than 7 days. A trader may reject produce only for reasons stated in the agreement, must notify the grower within 24 hours of rejection, and must give reasons within the period the agreement states. The written record of acceptance is kept for at least 6 years after the agreement expires and should include details of both parties. The Code does not define delivery. The page attributes further minimum contents to clauses 16, 17 and 18. Those clauses were not opened. The lawyer does not treat this as a draft of the supply contract. |

## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer decides whether trading can start. The checklist is not a supply contract.

- What the AI does: Record whether a written agreement exists before any trading, and whether both parties signed it or gave a written notice of offer and acceptance by letter, email or text.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the agreement is in place and code-compliant before trading, whether acceptance is signed or is a written notice, and whether the cooling-off period meets the page. - Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. No trading before a written, accepted agreement. Acceptance is a signature or a written notice, including email or text.
2. Cooling-off applies if the term is 90 days or more or there is no end date. An agreed period cannot be under 7 days.
3. Rejection needs a reason stated in the agreement, notice within 24 hours, and reasons inside the agreement's period.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Clauses 16, 17 and 18 of the Horticulture Code were not opened. Do not add contents from the instrument.
