# AI Law Framework > A reference knowledge base on AI policy and the use of AI in law, written for Australian lawyers and the AI agents that work for them. For each legal task it says how AI may be used, who drafts, what the lawyer must check and which court rules apply. It also holds research profiles of legal AI software and the court and regulator instruments on AI. General information, not legal advice. Pages in this file link the markdown versions. - Involvement levels are Green (AI drafts, lawyer checks), Yellow (lawyer and AI draft together), Red (lawyer writes; AI may only check, clarify or collect data) and Manual (no AI). Affidavits and witness statements are Red everywhere. - Each page carries its own date: when it was last reviewed or checked, or, for a precedent, the date it states the law as at (`law_stated_as_at`). Law is stated as at that date; confirm current primary sources before relying on a page.
