# How to use AI for conveyancing contract review in Australia

> A conveyancing contract is a state document plus special conditions. A tool can read the standard form. A practitioner reads the special conditions and advises the client.

## Check this before you rely on it

The Uniform Law statement, where it applies, the Law Society of New South Wales guide and Queensland Guidance Statement No. 37 apply before the contract is uploaded. A missed special condition is the client’s problem if you do not read it.

## Steps

1. **Use a tool that knows the state form.** New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland do not share one contract. Use a product aimed at that state’s form, on the firm’s tenancy. The conveyancers’ guide on this site lists profiles. It is not a ranking. Queensland Guidance Statement No. 37 still applies to the upload.
2. **Read the special conditions yourself.** The tool is least reliable where the draft leaves the standard form. Read every special condition, every annexure and every handwritten change. The Law Society of New South Wales guide expects the practitioner to understand what was not extracted.
3. **The practitioner advises the client.** Title, tenancy, GST, foreign-resident withholding and the special conditions are advice. The Uniform Law regulators’ statement, for solicitors it covers, leaves that advice with the practitioner. A conveyancer’s licence carries the same kind of responsibility for the work they are allowed to do. The extract is the starting note, not the letter.

## Questions

**Is it allowed to use AI for conveyancing contract review in Australia?**

Yes, as an extract of a state form, if the practitioner reads the special conditions and advises the client. The tool does not exchange the contract.

**What tools are used for conveyancing contract review?**

This catalogue includes InfoTrack contract review and TriConvey AI, among the profiles on the conveyancers’ guide. Read the hosting and pricing pages before you rely on a cell.

**Can the standard-form score stand in for the special conditions?**

No. Read them. They are where the deal actually moves.
